Repairs are not upgraded or fully warranted. A unit Rebuilt by Flight Systems undergoes full parameter testing with common failure components replaced with upgraded components to improve reliability and eliminate secondary failures. As a result, Generator Controls Rebuilt by Flight Systems come with a one-year warranty - the same as a new unit from the factory -- at a fraction of the cost. Since 1968, Flight Systems has been Rebuilding and Manufacturing Electronic Controls used in a wide variety of applications. Our Automotive Electronics and Diesel Controls customers include OEM's such as Daimler Chrysler®, Cummins®, Komatsu® and Volkswagen® and our generator customers are mostly dealers and repair shops for standby, marine and RV gen sets. We offer expert rebuilding service on many types of controls found on Onan®, Basler®, Generac®, Kohler® ASCO® and other gen sets and transfer switches. Please note that some items are done on a "Plus Parts" basis, due to the high cost of certain components which may be required to complete the rebuilding process. Also note that as many control designs age and component demand drops, component prices rise - for this reason, more and more repairs must be done "Plus Parts" - this is more fair to you, the customer, than simply raising basic prices (a "Plus Parts" component is one with a cost greater than $5.00). We can quote any Plus Parts item before proceeding if requested on your packing slip, but please understand that this will cause delays and quotes not accepted will be subject to our standard $25 Test Fee. (This is due to the time our Technicians spend testing the unit to determine which components need replaced) Once we receive your unit(s), our Standard Turn-Around is 3 Working Days in House - This may vary with the season, being a bit shorter in the winter and a bit longer in the summer, where gen set usage is greatest. "RUSH" Service (where we return a unit on the same or next day after receipt) is offered for a nominal extra charge during the "busy" months - May thru Oct. Every effort is made to ensure the best possible physical appearance of boards we rebuild, with dirt and corrosion removed prior to and flux or other residue after the repair. A conformal coating is applied as required to help protect the board. We cannot offer "same day" RUSH service unless shipments are received before 10am and advise using UPS Next Day or Fed Ex P1 when such service is needed. If you are shipping to us via Air Post, also download and print off the US Customs tag from the USPS (Click Here for form 2976) and affix it to the box. We ship internationally via your choice of Air Parcel Post, UPS or Federal Express to any country. Surface Post is not recommended due to the long transit times. We accept PayPal or Credit Card payments in several non-US currencies - Canadian & Australian Dollars, British Pounds Chinese Yuan and Euros. (Any duties and brokerage fees for international shipments are the responsibility of the customer) Rebuilt - Exchange Service: Flight Systems offers a time-saving, economical alternative to our repair service with our Rebuilt-Exchange (RX) Program. With this Program, the customer calls and requests a particular rebuilt item. We supply the requested item, along with a special label which is to be used to return the "core" and insures that the core credit is easily applied to the customer's account. Rebuilt-Exchange items are priced approximately $10-$20 higher than the standard price, and include a core charge. We can supply any item in our Program, depending on our core stock. ABOUT OUR REPLACEMENT GENERATOR CONTROLS: Building IMPROVED Replacements for electronic controls is an integral part of Flight Systems' heritage. The experience gained in repairing controls allows us to identify common problems with components and circuit design, which are addressed when we engineer our replacement boards. Along with improved design, our boards also feature conformal coating which prolongs life in the potentially corrosive environments (such as Marine and RV applications) in which they are often used. |
