Here's the rugged, low cost way to monitor critical coolant level, coolant temperature and oil pressure – plus one extra parameter of your choice – on a working gas, LPG or diesel engine. An alarm sounds, a status light shows red and the engine can be shut down (at your option on installation) when low coolant, high temperature or low oil pressure is detected. All it takes is once and the Model 995 Engine Monitor has paid for itself many times over!

The $289 Factory Direct price includes everything needed and the unit installs in 2 hours or less. Existing contact-closure sensors already on the engine can be used in place of the ones supplied if you wish.

PERFORMANCE:

Initialization at power up (violet wire) Unit self test for 3 seconds - indicated by single beep and lights flash. Alarm sounds and the Low Oil Pressure light stays lit until the engine is started. Alarm can be silenced or removed without affecting protection features or operation.

Low Coolant Level Advice (brown wire) The control unit embodies special circuitry which looks at the water level sensor and will trigger a relay or light connected to this brown wire when the water level has partially exposed the sensor. This will alert the operator to refill the radiator before an alarm sounds.

Low Coolant Level (yellow wire) When coolant level drops below the fully covered sensor and stays below for 8 seconds or longer, this alarm sounds for 30 seconds and the Low Coolant Level Light comes on and stays on until reset (power removed and reapplied).

High Coolant Temperature (red wire)When the coolant temperature exceeds +228ºF for periods longer than 30 seconds, the alarm sounds for 30 seconds and the High Engine Temp Light comes on and stays on until reset.

Low Oil Pressure (green wire) When the oil pressure drops below 8 PSI ( + 2 PSI), the alarm immediately sounds for 30 seconds and the Low Oil Pressure Light comes on and stays on until reset.

Optional Sensor (orange wire) Switch closure to ground from any source such as a door switch, fan or “sail” switch or any similar type closure (that switches to ground on fault) will cause the unit to alarm but not shut down.
